Japanese Nintendo Consoles Slapped by PS3 Sales |

Wii Nintendo consoles hit the market and did some serious damage. No one could believe how cool it was to have an interactive, motion driven gaming control. I’m all for the ability to get out of your seat when playing games but the glimmer wore off when all of the games felt like they were made for babies. I am biased towards Microsoft and Playstation because they’re basically powerful computers capable of insane graphics but the Japanese must be starting to feel the same way.
According to video game console news from Enterbrain (Game research group), March was a great month for Sony and the PS3 in Japan. The PS3 finally started outselling Wii Nintendo consoles. The official numbers are as follows, “Sony sold 146,948 PS3s in the five weeks to March 29 compared with 99,335 sales of the Wii (ft.com).”
Nintendo is hoping to make up for this loss with the recent release of the ultra portable Nintendo Dsi console but the reviews so far have been “stick with the original DS if you got it.” Maybe this will be a wakeup call to Nintendo for some better game graphics.
