home theater, lcd hdtv Last night I fell asleep watching the 1996 classic Mars Attacks. There is no better alien invasion comedy on the market. The genius of Jack Nicholson, Glenn Close, Martin Short, Danny DeVito, Pierce Brosan, Annette Bening, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michael J Fox, Natalie Portman and Tom Jones makes an all out attack on humanity hilarious. By the way, I looked up the starring roles for this film. I couldn’t believe how many big names were in the lightest hearted Tim Burton film ever created. I wasn’t watching on a LCD HDTV or anything when I fell asleep but the home theater system was at 42, a good level. I was really into the movie, watching with the lights off before falling victim to super comfortable pillows.



All of a sudden the walls started to shake and I blasted straight up. It was one of those moments when you are wide awake the second your eyes open. It was the part in the movie when the little boys are running through the White House with alien guns blasting every invader in sight. The home theater was cranked to 62 and the sound was booming. I looked over and realized, I had rolled onto the volume control of the remote. It was a real attack of the home theater system.
