nintendo consoles, video game console I just read an eye opening article from CNET News called Nintendo Outsells Competition 2 to 1 in May, the title says it all. Nintendo consoles are wiping the floor with the competition as their demographic of not so hardcore gamers keeps multiplying. In the article another eye opening fact was exposed, “video game sales were down 23 percent in May (news.cnet.com).” I attribute these numbers to the lack of big games being released not a down turned market. We have all seen that the video game console can whether any storm short of a worldwide power outage.

Nintendo consoles including the DS are doing great. I bet many of the DS sales have something to do with more families and people going on vacation this summer. Long plane flights and trips in the car are best fought with a video game console and the DS Nintendo consoles offer something for just about every age group. We’ll see if Nintendo consoles can keep up the numbers for the coming months. More video game console news to come so stay tuned.
