If you do not yet own a video game console and you would like to purchase one then perhaps you are wondering which type to choose. Well, each has their advantages and disadvantages. I have personally tried the DS and Wii Nintendo consoles. I have also tried the Playstation 3. Each console I have tried had things about it that I liked. Of the Nintendo consoles I like the Wii best because it has some great interactive features that allow you to get up out of your chair and physically take part in the game. Nevertheless, the Nintendo DS is a great toy to buy for an adolescent or child since it gives them something to do in the car when you are taking them from A to B. I currently own a PS3 and I like the fact that it plays Blu Ray discs. I also think it has superior graphics compared to other video game consoles. Judging by my own personal experiences I would recommend the DS for kids, the Wii for families and the Playstation 3 for movie fans and serious gamers. I cannot comment on the Xbox 360 because I have never tried it.
