Game cheats have widely been implemented in games since the early video game console generations allowing people who have conquered the game to add a bit of replay value. Game cheats vary from game to game while others may not have cheat codes at all. The basic form of game cheats requires players to enter a series of button sequences to activate the code. Now, some games may have more sophisticated and difficult game cheats methods, while others offer them in the form of unlockables where the player must meet a certain requirement (usually by finishing the game) in order to use them. Players get these game cheats from gaming magazines, strategy guides, word of mouth and online gaming web sites. Another popular way to get game cheats, although not considered to be game cheats in the traditional meaning, is to get another persons memory stick and “steal” their game progress. For those who may not have fully finished the game, downloading another person's game data can count as cheating too because it is another way for one to enjoy all the features in the game or reaching a certain part of the game without earning to do so. Once you enter their memory stick in your video game console you can then jump to the level your friend reached.
