I recall the days of using my video game console before I owned a really great LCD TV like the one that is mounted on the walls in my living room today! The games, while fun, were duller and lacking in the clarity and graphical superiority that they are now, as defined by my awesome LCD TV. After seeing how great my brother’s video game console looked with his LCD TV – which was earlier this year before he moved to LA for work – I was quite impressed. I thought to myself, “Is this what I have been missing out on with my video game console all of these years? NO WAY!” After saving up a good paycheck, I was able to get an LCD TV for my living room that was nearly as large as my brother’s TV was. These days, I like to enjoy my video game console in style on a true 1080p TV that offers amazing high definition contrast. Once you go to this type of resolution, be warned, however, because you won’t want to play a video game console on anything else!

If you have ever played some of the online games and thought that other gamers may be using game cheats, you are probably correct. But take some time to read the online forums regarding using game cheats online when you play with your video game console over the internet, and you will quickly realize that many times you can get banned from your online service by doing so. And why should you not? Game cheats are really fun to use in single player campaigns where you get stuck in a level and have trouble defeating the computer programming. However, when you take game cheats online it can really ruin the fun for everybody involved, because they are playing against impossible odds that are greater than them. Should one man’s fun be a thousand others’ disgraces? Don’t get me wrong, I love using game cheats at home. But I always refrain from using them online. Have you ever wondered why they made game cheats in the first place? I used to play as a tester for different games that they would release on video game consoles. It was a really fun job when I was in high school; you basically played video games to find the flaws and noted them. The real reasons why game cheats were originally created were for two purposes. One, they allowed testers of the games, like me, to access different levels and perks faster to test them and see if they would work. Two, they allowed game reviewers, like the many popular video game console magazines that you see, to be able to play the game faster and rate it quicker. And who can really blame us? Ever since the heyday of video game consoles, like Contra – a hit on the original Nintendo Console – game cheats have been, and will always be, a surefire mainstay into the video game world.

I really can’t say much. I remember about 15 years ago, I was playing my favorite game, and I got stuck on a particular level and couldn’t get through.  Even my friend who was also playing the game couldn’t get to the next level, so I admit that I did call the game hotline for tips on getting past that particular level. Granted, I’d never tell my husband that I used game cheats; I’ll just keep letting him think that I’m a video game mastermind.

Gamers beware before you use some game cheats on your video game consoles because you may be sacrificing your ability to win the game and get a 100% completion on it. That’s right, I was reading up on different game cheats yesterday and there are some that you may not want to use because they can disable certain boards from opening up in the game, and they can also prevent you from getting the different achievements like Xbox 360 achievements or PS3 points, or even Wii high scores. I am not saying that I don’t use game cheats all of the time when I get stuck on certain boards or levels, but I have learned my lesson on numerous occasions before. So what I do before I use any game cheats is I always look up the walk-throughs online, to see what other gamers have to say about using them and if they found any associated consequences. Similarly, I have learned to never use game cheats when playing games online. Most of the servers are programmed to recognize and block them, or worse, you could get kicked from the game.

If you have ever played the smash hit game for the next generation video game consoles, Grand Theft Auto IV, then you may know about the many different and exciting game cheats that they have for this amazing free-world game. I have actually created a small game out of using game cheats for this game, which require that you activate your cell phone in the game and type in certain phone numbers which unlock particular cheats. What is cool about the game cheats for this game is that you can try to play what I call ‘Survival.’ You get the cops on your tail, chasing you around the city, and you see how long you can last, and how many stars that you can get (the more stars that you have the more cops that will chase you) before you get taken down. You will find that entering in the game cheats gets harder and harder to do as you continue to race around the city and try to evade the coppers. For me, I have been so far able to stay alive for nearly twenty minutes once I have the entire police force after my guy.

If you read the mathematical formula for heaven that I placed above in the title of this post then you probably have a pretty good idea of what my favorite three combinations of technological gadgets are currently. The LCD HDTV in my living room offers amazing visual clarity that always blows my mind and makes me think about how lucky I am to own such a fine, high-tech TV set. The video game console that I have connected to it was specifically designed to take full advantage of the 1080p resolution on my LCD HDTV, so that I can enjoy the best quality of graphics ever created while playing my video game console. Then you add the internet to the mixture, and you have the three things that I love the most: playing my video game console on the internet against other gamers from around the world while enjoying the best screen quality on my advanced TV screen. There is nothing that I would rather do on my day off then log online for a few hours and test my muster against other online gamers to update the online scoreboards with my gaming initials.

I think that it is safe to say that most gamers in their twenties can recall the video game consoles of yesteryear. Namely, the video game consoles that started it all, like the Super Nintendo. Or even other, more advanced video game consoles, like the Sega Genesis, or the Game Cube. But the one thing that I have seen that has really upped the ante and changed video game consoles forever is the World Wide Web. Before video game consoles had internet connectivity, multiplayer games were limited to same console play. However, with the internet around, gamers can now connect from all over the world and enjoy playing each other whenever they desire. The best part, at least in my opinion, and with exception to live, online gaming, is that the video game consoles of today can actually download vital system updates, game patches and glitch fixes from the web, via the handy mainstream servers that are provided for free from the game makers. This, as far as I am concerned, is a priceless resource for gamers everywhere today!

I have been pondering this forever and a day, ever since the video game consoles that are currently out were released for the public, roughly five some-odd years back. What I have been wondering is what features, perks and specs will be offered by the video game consoles of the future? Curious as to what this would be in the future-tense, I have some done some serious online digging, and was able to find out some really cool information as to where the video game consoles of today are headed over the next ten years. According to my research, many video game consoles may become just lofty cable modems that connect you to their servers, where for an affordable monthly fee you can play all of the games that you desire. Could you imagine if there were far less moving parts on video game consoles, and you paid a lot less money to own them, and you never had to pay for games again? While this is not set in stone, it would be a pretty cool future for video games to say the least!

If you have ever played the game Prototype then you already know how insane it can be. It’s like they took Grand Theft Auto and made it a million times better, seriously. There are some awesome game cheats for Prototype but many users are apt to implement them because it can ruin the game ending or not allow you to get a hundred percent completion, thus defeating the purpose of playing the game. However, there are some game cheats, or rather strategic ways that you can go about getting your character up as high as possible without compromising EP points (the points that let you buy upgrades in the game for your character) and without making it impossible to get a hundred percent completion. So here is what you need to do in order to perform these legal game cheats. One: destroy as many cars and buildings as possible before going one missions to rack up extra EP points. This way you can buy upgrades sooner and become more powerful. To: go around and collect all of the location orbs to unlock upgrades and EP points that make your guy better. Avoiding using traditional game cheats so you don’t ruin the game ending.
